We bring you the best highlights from Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2015.
Rajesh Pratap Singh's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection presented the medical scene complete with hospital beds, IV bags and overhead surgical lights. It grabbed eyeballs and was a perfect start to the fashion week. The use of ikats, checkered print looked very chic. He also used floral prints in white thread embroidery. The entire monochrome themed collection gave a grand opening to the fashion week.
Nikasha welcomed the season with florals of various sizes and shapes. The autumn colour tones used in shades of red, pink , ochre was the highlight.
Payal Singhal's collection was a french romantic dream. She used chantilly lace, organza, tulle, silk in pastels with subtle gold zardosi embroidery and intricate detailing.
Floral prints in sheer gowns. Thread embroidery on flowy silhouettes of net and sheer fabrics created elegant ensembles for the sophisticated women.
Inspired by fairy-tales, Anju modi’s collection was splendid. There were tiny embroidered roses and snow flakes, gold threadwork castles, and sequinned swan motifs decorating her layered and draped ensembles. We especially liked how Anju ditched glass slippers for sneakers.
JJ Valaya described his collection 'Bolshoi Bazaar'. The collection gave subtle hints of its influence from Russia, staying true to Indian traditional roots.
There were capes, saris, dresses, skirts, jackets and anarkalis with the influence of fur belts, elaborate headgears and Russian motifs. A treat for the eyes.
