“.. ohh that means all the people who are highest paid are prostitutes…bill gates is the second biggest now!! and also talking about the fastest money making i can still find you people who have become millionaires in 2 to 3 months..when her husband would realize how did she pay of his expenses he will be more hurt…i respect prostitutes more than anyone…if they are doing it on their will and they like what they are doing that is fine i have mentioned it in there….if you look at stats 80% of the women do it on their will…source: discovery channel documentary. however, saying that i have some majboori is a good way to fool herself…lame excuse…a person would then start drug peddling, loot a bank and contract killing under the name of majboori…and say that meri majboori thi….paise chiyye thee…fast and more money…”
“.. its so clear you promote prostitution more than anything… So once the husband is cured and back to his senses, he finds out his wife slept with 100s of men… he’d prefer to be back in comma”
These are two out of almost hundred and odd outrageous comments on a website for a video titled ‘My husband made me a prostitute’. This ‘do not drink and drive’ awareness video, makes a bold statement, and has a very somber vibe to it as well. It has been shot well, the lines are well thought out, and is a very brave video. The only thing that bothered me was the kind of response this video attracted. This is ridiculous and I am ashamed to consider myself to be a part of a country that is represented by the kind of thinking that can say these things. The video shows a lady, talking to the camera as she is applying final touches to her make-up. She addresses the viewers directly in a matter of fact way, with a calm demeanor. She is clearly distressed by the fact that her husband is in a coma and to pay the bills, she chose to be a prostitute, even though she had a good education, because she believes it is ‘the highest and the fastest paying’ job. I would not disagree with her. If a girl has a good body, an awesome face to go with it, and she knows her ‘job’ well, and is not shy to flaunt all of it, in today’s world, there is always someone ready to pay any amount under the sun to spend the night with that girl. Now, you are totally capable of lashing out at me after reading this, telling me that people who think like me, are the ones who would do something like that, but Mr. Kumar, you need to wake up. You need to take out the trash in your head, open your eyes and see. These things happen too, people pay for sex! There is a huge market of more than half a billion in India alone! The days where men hid everything, and women kept quiet is gone. Let’s face it. We have created this anger in them, we are the ones who have to face it, but yet, the ladies are considerate to forget everything if the man understands his place. This is the reality and we need to wake up to it. We have ignored this fact for a long time now, brushing it under the carpet. The carpet’s so full with dirt now, you can see the filth piling up underneath, and even then, even when it is out in the open, there is no shame. The barbarian remains a barbarian. The habit stems from this very thought that if we ignore something completely for a certain period of time, then it is as good as irrelevant. In the minds of the people, it ceases to exist.
People here are lashing out in public and the things that they are saying, in public, without any hesitation or fear of being wrong, without any remorse, no shame and so much of apathy to such a delicate matter, with women being pushed to the limelight, just to avoid the cowardly male ego being hurt. I don’t understand that term anymore, male ego. Does male ego mean doing completely the opposite to that of a female? Do you think there is a female ego as well then? Or is it just us, the males who are blessed with it? Where is all this coming from?! I don’t know.
This guy says:
“..i respect prostitutes more than anyone…if they are doing it on their will and they like what they are doing that is fine i have mentioned it in there….if you look at stats 80% of the women do it on their will…source: discovery channel documentary..”
So he is really not having a problem with the profession, but with the reason people choose, to get into prostitution. He also goes on to say that ’80% of the world’s prostitutes do it on their will’. Whose will is the lady in the video living on? Whose will is it that makes her get up, do her job and come back home? It’s her own will. It’s her own struggle. It is simple to sit in front of a computer screen and lash out and speak nonsense about something that requires integrity and a free will to unbind yourself from all the chains of clouded reality, that holds you down, and look at the greater good. I wonder if the guys who wrote those comments understand these words at all.
He also goes on to say:
“.. however, saying that i have some majboori is a good way to fool herself…lame excuse…a person would then start drug peddling, loot a bank and contract killing under the name of majboori…and say that meri majboori thi….paise chiyye thee…fast and more money…”
Now, explain this to me. It’s not you alone, so don’t worry. There are millions of Paras Kumars, as evident by the number of people commenting on this video, with the same wavelength of thought and imagination as yours. And even if you don’t get it, I understand your limitations and I won’t pin that on you. You use terms like drug peddling, loot a bank, contract killing and prostitution in the same sentence, as if all of it are synonyms of each other. You build such a relationship among words, you give them new meaning, to the words as well as to your imagination. I am assuming you might have felt hurt by a girl some point in time. If that is the case, it’s time you grow up, put that hurt behind you and start looking around you and see, observe, learn, understand, ponder, if you don’t understand, ask, there’s no shame, and finally don’t forget to change, but being so hurt, is not good for you. The ladies are maturing and developing and experimenting, hundred times faster and elegantly than men. I know you’d feel threatened, because you don’t want to work with them, you want to work against them, and your threat is justified. It shows.
